NVIDIA is one of the technology companies affected by restrictions on the sale of their products in certain markets, especially China, the United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia and so on.
At the beginning of this month, the United States government imposed restrictions on the sale of their artificial intelligence components, specifically the NVIDIA A100, A800, H100, H800, and L40S graphics cards developed specifically to power artificial intelligence technology.
Initially, NVIDIA was given 30 days to stop sales of these components to the Chinese company, and was supposed to take effect on November 17, 2023. However, an update to the filing dated October 23, 2023 appears to say now that the sales restrictions are now in effect. immediately and does not give time to NVIDIA or these Chinese technology companies to sell and obtain the supply of the components.
The restriction on these artificial intelligence components is also seen to be limited to components with 4800 TOPS processing power, and interestingly, one of the consumer components affected by this restriction is NVIDIA's most powerful graphics card, the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4090, which now appears to be will also not be allowed to sell it for the market in China.
