Samsung Considers To Offer Security Updates Beyond 5 Years

 Google has recently announced that it will offer software updates for their latest Pixel devices for 7 years. In addition to that, now Samsung through an interview has also stated that it is considering extending the offer of security updates for their devices, beyond five years.

Today, Samsung offers 4 years of operating system updates, and 5 years of security updates. Samsung is one of the manufacturers that is committed to offering this update, ahead of many other manufacturers in the same industry – while ensuring that their devices remain safe to use for a long period of time.

According to Samsung, they are actively considering and discussing matters regarding security updates beyond 5 years. For now, it is not shared whether Samsung is also considering offering operating system updates beyond 4 years, or vice versa.
