Samsung started providing updates to One UI 6.0 which is based on Android 14 today after almost four weeks of this operating system being launched by Google. The first three devices to receive One UI 6.0 are the Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra, Galaxy S23+ and Galaxy S23.
According to Sammobile's report, the update started to be received by users in Germany just now and it will be rolled out to other markets in stages. Devices in Malaysia at the time of writing have not yet received it. Typically, Samsung devices in Malaysia will receive the update about a week after European devices.
Samsung is getting faster at offering their operating system updates lately. In previous years, the latest operating system was only received in December. The Galaxy S, Galaxy Z and Galaxy A series began receiving support for four Android versions and five years of security patches last year. For those looking for an Android device with consistent long-term support at all price points, Samsung still has an edge over other manufacturers.
