Samsung today made a surprise by introducing a new variant of their foldable phone, the Galaxy Z Flip5 Retro. This smartphone will be sold in several countries starting November 1, including South Korea, Germany, Spain, Australia and France.
This Samsung Galaxy Z Flip5 Retro takes inspiration from one of Samsung's most popular mobile phones around two decades ago, the SGH-E700. This Galaxy Z Flip5 Retro brings a combination of blue and silver colors that have become the identity of the SGH-E700 before. At the same time, some interface elements based on pixel graphics have also been added to this Retro edition – especially the animations in the Flex Window, giving back the nostalgia of the old phones.
In addition, in the purchase box Samsung also includes some additional content, including showing the evolution of the Samsung logo then and now.
For now, it is not known whether Samsung plans to offer this model for the local market or not.
