Samsung shared a new video that hints at an interesting feature that will be supported on the upcoming Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra. The ISOCELL Zoom Anyplace feature allows two 4K video recordings to be taken simultaneously with zooming done on different areas from a single viewfinder. The demo showed that in addition to zooming in on a basketball player, Zoom Anyplace also recorded video using an ultra-wide-angle lens.
This can be done through a 200MP ISOCELL sensor matched to the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chip. The AI capabilities and higher processing on the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 enable this 4K simultaneous recording to be done smoothly. After the recording is finished, two video files will be saved in the gallery.
Samsung's new ISOCELL sensor can also perform faster complex image processing through the E2E AI Remosaic feature. This solves the issue of pictures taking a few seconds to post-process. Previously there were rumors that the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 would be used on the Galaxy S24 Ultra only with the Galaxy S24 and Galaxy S24+ using the Eynos 2400 chip.
