Sony today made a surprise by introducing a new PlayStation 5 model that will be marketed at the end of 2023. This new console comes with a slightly shorter and smaller size compared to the previous original model.
According to Sony, the new console's volume is reduced by 30% – leading to a slightly smaller and lighter size. At the same time, the interesting thing about this new console is that it brings a removable disk drive design.
This allows you to purchase the new version of the PS5 Digital Edition, and then add an Ultra HD Blu-ray disc drive at a later date.
The new console will also come with 1TB of built-in storage. Sony is expected to sell this new console starting November 2023.
