The government has previously stated that it will offer an e-cash credit of RM100 to people with an income of less than RM100,000. In parallel, it is now shared that the credit will be distributed from December 2023.
This initiative was previously announced last July by Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim, targeting the B40 and M40 groups. This credit amounting to RM100 is expected to be channeled and can be redeemed through selected digital wallets later.
For now, further information regarding the penetration method and so on is not yet known. It may be shared a few weeks before the credit is given.
