The Matter 1.2 IoT Device Standard Now Supports More Home Hardware

 

With the announcement of Matter 1.2 support, home appliance makers can begin adding smart features to their products that support the world's largest smart device control platforms.

Support for the latest hardware is a very good move by Matter, which is expected to be well received by leading hardware brands such as Samsung, LG, Whirlpool (owns KitchenAid, Maytag), Haier and so on.

Even so, it is not known if these brands will take advantage of the latest IoT standard in the near future, but the expectation is that at least it can now be used for future products.
