Apple Pencil USB-C was launched yesterday at a price of RM399 per stick. Rumors that it comes with a magnetic head do not come true. For those who want to buy a new Apple Pencil, there are two things you need to be aware of. First of all this new stylus does not support pressure detection. In this respect it is not as good as the first generation Apple Pencil that supports it.
Second is that it cannot be charged wirelessly when connected to the storage dock on the side of the iPad. Charging is only possible via the supported USB-C port on the back of the Apple Pencil. Also missing is tap support on the side of the body to change the tool used in the application.
So be sure to buy the Apple Pencil that is most compatible with your needs. If you really don't need pressure support or wireless charging, the Apple Pencil USB-C can be used on all iPads on the market today.
