One of the biggest problems experienced by users of Wear OS smartwatches is very slow software updates. Some even continue to be forgotten and do not receive new updates. This is trying to change with Wear OS 3, where many manufacturers are starting to use this new generation operating system.
After Wear OS 4 was announced during the Google I/O 2023 event, only the Samsung Galaxy Watch6 received this operating system. Then distributed to the Galaxy Watch5 and most sadly, the Pixel Watch – Google's own watch did not receive this update and Google has informed that their first generation smartwatches will take more time to receive Wear OS 4.
The Wear OS update problem may occur again. So far only the Pixel Watch 2 is the only Google watch that runs Wear OS 4. Google also stated that there is no update date for this watch other than that it may arrive around the end of the year.
Most watches other than the Pixel and Samsung still run Wear OS 3 and with the way Google handles Wear OS 4 we probably won't see this new operating system updated to other watches anytime soon. what do you say
