X introduced a new feature today that only allows users whose identity has been verified to reply to sent tweets. It is a feature that previously only allowed certain users or prevented all replies from being sent on uploaded tweets.
To use this feature you just need to relaunch the app. No need to update X to the latest version first. This is another feature that is seen as a way to prevent tweets sent from receiving negative reactions from the public.
Since Israel's attack on Gaza began yesterday, many celebrities in blue have been slammed for supporting Israel's violent actions. With this new feature they can reduce the amount of swearing received from X users who are not subscribed to Premium or whose real identity is not verified.
