Elon Musk says he wants to make X a fully paid social media platform in the future. With advertising shrinking post-purchase, he saw this as the only way to enable X's operation to continue. In a Bloomberg report, X CEO Linda Yaccarino met with bank representatives this week where she announced the platform plans to launch three different subscription plans.
All three plans Basic, Standard and Plus will allow customers to reduce the display of ads on their timeline. This plan was announced to the bank to give confidence that X would be able to pay their debts and loans in the near future. Also revealed is that although advertisers are returning to X, money is being spent on the platform less than before.
Although Elon Musk's takeover of Twitter was unpopular, the majority of users remained for lack of a better alternative. But if it's true that a subscription is required to continue using X, will you stay loyal to the platform?
