In the last few weeks, we have heard that X or formerly known as Twitter is slowing down access to several web services that are considered competitors. Now, also added to the list is access to Patreon and even WhatsApp.
It is seen that X may consider Patreon as a competing platform that falls under the category of content creators, while for WhatsApp it may be because of the messaging factor.
According to The Markup's review, sometimes access to related links clicked from X is delayed or slowed down for up to 2.5 seconds before connecting.
