Public buses are the most efficient and environmentally friendly mode of transport. In Singapore, the SBS public bus, which has been quite old, will end its operation and has now been converted into a luxury hotel. The Bus Collective consists of 20 public buses that have been converted into hotels that can accommodate up to four guests.
It offers a glamping experience but in a bus-shaped room. On the outside it looks like a regular bus but on the inside it is equipped with a bathtub, TV and still retains the driver's seat and the steering wheel of the bus. Because they are converted from buses, some rooms at The Bus Collective also have good access for wheelchair users.
Its location in Changi Village makes it accessible to tourists who have just arrived in Singapore and is also close to the historical attraction of the Changi Prison Museum. Rooms at The Bus Collective are offered at prices starting at SG$398 (~RM1390) per night.
