Samsung has launched a new 50 Megapixel ISOCELL GNK camera sensor. This sensor is an improvement to the ISOCELL GN1 sensor launched earlier this year. It still maintains a physical size of 1/1.3″ and has a 1.2-micron pixel size and a Dual Pixel Pro focusing system.
Night mode capability is enhanced on GNK with a dynamic range of up to 102dB. Photos can be taken in 14-bit color mode while video is up to 8K 30FPS. There is also 4K 120FPS and FHD 240FPS capabilities. Samsung hasn't confirmed the first device that will use this sensor but Xiaomi is expected to be the first customer.
