Ai Pin Uses Android Based Operating System

The Ai Pin smart pin was announced last week by Humane with it trying to provide a paradigm shift in the world of mobile devices. What makes it unique is that it is not equipped with a touch screen and instead uses a mini projector. Control is using voice and hand gestures. Among the mysteries is the Cosmos operating system used.

Based on the job ad that Humane has uploaded this week, we now know that Cosmos is an operating system based on Android AOSP. This will make it easier for Ai Pin applications to be developed in the future. At this time Ai Pin still does not offer any third party applications and does not have an application store.

Although Humane says it's not necessary at this time, it's impossible to launch a new hardware without support for popular applications such as banking, social media and music streaming. If Humane wants to replace smartphones with Ai Pin, a dedicated application for it needs to be developed immediately.
