Steel Series has recently introduced new microphones under the Alias series namely Alias Microphone and Alias Pro Microphone. Each of these microphones is powered by Sonas for Streamers software and is aimed at video game players who stream live content.
Alias is a 1″ ClearCast condenser microphone that is three times larger than competing microphones with 24 bit/48 KHz audio recording capabilities. It also comes with a microphone mixer that is foreign to the Pro and built into the regular model. This mixer allows the user to control up to the audio input simultaneously and control the audio level directly.
The Pro model comes with an RGB system, while the regular model relies on a five LED light system. The Alias microphone supports a USB connection while the Alis Pro model supports an XLR connection. The Steel Series also uses an anti-vibration mount to prevent audio interference when it is in use. According to Steel Series, Alias also uses an artificial intelligence system to ensure clear and bright audio.
Steel Series Malaysia offers Alias at a price of RM1099 (without mixer and USB-A connection), while Alias Pro at a price of RM1799 (with mixer and XLR connection). Sonar for Streamers software is offered for free for additional control.
