At the AWS re:Invent event this morning Amazon Q was announced as a competitor to ChatGPT and Copilot. This virtual assistant with artificial intelligence was developed specifically for use in the workplace of AWS customers.
Amazon Q is trained using data from 17 years of AWS operations. Customers can ask about the various products offered by AWS and use Amazon Q to solve issues about how to use these products directly without asking for human help. In daily work, Amazon Q can help write articles, conclude long documents, compose emails and plan daily agendas.
There are integrations for Jira, Salesforce, ServiceNow, and Zendesk services also included. It can also access the company's personal data without having to worry about secret leaks. All of these features are comparable to the generative AI services offered by Amazon's competitors. Amazon Q has now been used by Accenture, Amazon, BMW Group, Gilead, Mission Cloud, Orbit Irrigation, and Wunderkind.
