The AMD Ryzen X3D CPU series is a CPU series favored by gamers, because the 3D V-cache memory built into this CPU is very helpful in improving the gaming performance of a computer. In fact, usually when AMD launches a new series of CPUs, many will deliberately wait for AMD to introduce X3D CPUs before upgrading their computers.
Recently, it has been reported that the details of two new AMD X3D CPUs, namely AMD Ryzen 7 5700X3D and AMD Ryzen 5 5500X3D will be revealed by AMD soon. This is expected to be an addition to the AMD Ryzen 7 5800X3D and AMD Ryzen 5600X3D CPU models that are already on the market.
It is reported that the AMD Ryzen 7 5700X3D will come with eight cores and 16 threads of power with 100MB of built-in
cache memory and have a base speed of 3.0GHz and an overclock speed of 4.1GHz. The AMD Ryzen 5 5500 comes with six physical cores and 12 power threads with the same amount of cache, and has an overclocking speed of 4.0GHz.
More interestingly, it is also expected that these CPUs will come with a lower total TDP (power consumption) compared to the previous AMD Ryzen 7 5800X3D and AMD Ryzen 5 5600X3D, which came with a TDP of 105W.
For those who are still using AM4 platform motherboards and want to upgrade their CPUs to X3D models, it might be worth waiting for now for AMD to make an official announcement about these CPUs.
