Apple Won't Offer a 27″ iMac Anytime Soon

The 27″ iMac is being discontinued in 2022 in line with their plan to no longer offer Macs with Intel chips. Since then only iMacs with 24″ screens have been offered including the new model launched last week. For those waiting for the 27″ model to return you will be in for a treat as Apple has confirmed it will not be offered anytime soon.

According to a report by The Verge, when contacted Apple said at this time only the 24″ iMac will be offered. For those who want a Mac with a larger screen, they are recommended to buy a Mac Pro, Mac Mini or Mac Studio which is then matched with a large screen such as Mac Studio Display with a 27" screen or Pro Display XDR with a 32" screen.

With personal computer sales shrinking post-pandemic, reducing the supply of Mac models may be seen as a good move. But for those who are indeed looking for an iMac with a bigger screen, they will have to wait to see if Apple will change its mind as the Butterfly keys have been replaced and the MacBook Pro is now back with more ports.
