Chrome Can Now Display Total RAM Used Per Tab

Once upon a time Chrome was our web browser of choice because it was the fastest with lots of great extra features. But then we realized it was also a Dracula browser that greedily sucked up the RAM on the computer system. There is a RAM and power saving system but it still brings memory issues which make us frustrated. In Chrome 119, a new feature was introduced that displays the amount of RAM used by each tab.

The user just needs to move the mouse cursor over the tab and the amount of memory it is using will be displayed. With this feature the option to turn off the tabs that use the most RAM can be done better. The issue of Chrome taking up so much RAM that it slows down other applications can also be avoided.

For those who have already updated Chrome to version 119, this feature will be rolled out to global users in the coming weeks.
