Oppo today announced a new Android-based launcher update for its smartphones with the introduction of ColorOS 14. It is built on top of Android 14 with a brand new design optimized with AI-powered smart features. This aims to improve the overall experience in various aspects including efficiency, performance and security.
The new launcher uses a breathed-in Aquamorgraphic design with a combination of improved color systems, sound effects and interactions. Through it the color system has now been upgraded with the ability to adapt according to the status, time and content on the current screen. In addition, Oppo has also collaborated with professionals to provide audio options with the best sound effects on ColorOS 14.
Then there is also the new Aqua Dynamics feature for a more interesting interaction experience, where various information can be accessed through bubbles/capsules on the status bar. Not to be left out, the Always On Display system has also been improved with the Go Green option to raise awareness about climate change and environmental protection.
As mentioned earlier, ColorOS 14 is also optimized with AI-powered smart features. Among them is the Smart Touch feature that allows users to select any content such as text, images and videos from third-party systems/applications. Then collect them on the File Dock easily using swiping gestures.
Next there is also a new File Dock on the Smart Sidebar feature that facilitates sharing content across applications easily through Split Screen or Floating Windows itself. The Smart Image Matting function allows users to crop various subjects in paused images/videos on any smartphone.
Next, the Trinity Engine feature helps improve device performance more smoothly and stably through efficient management of computer resources, memory and storage. Through it, the ROM Vitalization feature can free up memory while saving up to 20GB of space. At the same time speed up memory performance to keep more apps active in the background. Then CPU Vitalization is a computer power scheduling technology that allows a smoother experience to be enjoyed without the issue of running out of battery quickly.
In addition, ColorOS 14 also includes an AI-based Smart Charging feature that can automatically adjust the current based on the smartphone's usage status. ColorOS 14 also focuses on better privacy protection through the Picture Keeper feature, which can prevent apps from abusing permissions for private photos and videos.
Finally, ColorOS 14 also allows the Snapchat application to be placed on a short shortcut on the home screen, which also allows users to check new messages or statuses through it.
