Dasung is an e-ink display manufacturer brand from Japan known for their various e-ink screen offerings. Recently, they have shown the Dasung 253U-F display, an e-ink screen display that comes with a curvature value of 4000R.
This Dasung 253U-F display is seen using the same e-ink display as the Dasung Paperlike 253 launched in 2021, but has now been upgraded to present a resolution of 3200×1800 pixels, a 16:9 display ratio and a 4000R curve. Depending on the model purchased as well, this display will come with a built-in light to illuminate the display surface so that it is easier to see and read.
In terms of plugs, this Dasung 253U-F display comes with a built-in HDMI plug, one USB Type-C plug, three USB Type-A plugs, a 3.5mm audio plug and also a built-in speaker. This display also has three display modes, namely Graphics mode, Text mode and Video mode.
The 4000R curve marketed by Dasung is also seen to not provide any improvement to the experience of using this display, but through the different modes offered by this 253U-F screen, perhaps users can feel a little difference when using it.
SKT Corporation, the company behind Dasung says that this Dasung 253U-F display has already started to be offered in some selected markets such as the United States at a price of $1798 (~RM8390).
