The government agreed to provide free tolls to highway users on Saturday and Sunday (November 11-12) in conjunction with the Deepavali festival. According to Public Works Minister Datuk Seri Alexander Nanta Linggi, the toll exemption is for all types of vehicles and toll plazas except for two on the southern border, namely the Bangunan Sultan Iskandar (BSI) Toll and the Tanjung Kupang Toll Plaza in Johor.
For those who plan to go back to their village or take this opportunity to go on vacation, PLUS has already given travel time recommendations that can be done throughout the festival period of the past few days. For example, traveling out of the Klang Valley between 10 and 11 November, users are advised to leave between 8-11 am to travel to the North. Those who want to return to Perak are advised to travel between 4 pm and 7 pm. For those who want to go to the South, the trip is recommended between 10 am and 1 pm.
