It's been over a decade since Grand Theft Auto V (GTA V) was launched with the game being offered on three generations of consoles. This very long period has fans wondering when Grand Theft Auto VI (GTA VI) will be released. According to a Bloomberg report, the wait will end this week according to Rockstar Games' insider sources.
Although the announcement of the open-world game will be made this week, Rockstar will only show the first trailer in December 2023 in conjunction with the company's 25th anniversary. GTA V is the most recent game in the series as it sold 185 million units. This also places it as the second best-selling video game behind Minecraft which has sold over 300 million units.
Development of GTA VI started a few years ago with early gameplay videos being leaked after Rockstar was hacked last year.
