The Honor 100 series was also announced today with two different variant options. It is comprised of the Honor 100 which features a rectangular camera bump that houses a dual-camera system on the back. Meanwhile, the Honor 100 Pro is more prominent with an oval-shaped camera bump along with the main tri-camera system included.
Share more Honor 100 Pro uses a 6.78-inch OLED screen with a resolution of 2700×1224, 120Hz pixels with a peak brightness of 2,600nits. This is matched with a Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chip, memory up to 16GB LPDDR5X RAM and storage up to 1TB UFS 4.0 for the mainstay.
The included 5,000mAh battery can be charged using a USB-C port, 100W wired charging and 66W wireless charging. Then the camera system consists of a 50MP Sony IMX906 DSLR with OIS, a 12MP wide angle and a 32MP telephoto on the back. While the selfie camera is a 50MP Sony IMX816 DSLR with autofocus.
Next Honor 100 is equipped with a 6.7-inch OLED screen with a resolution of 2664×1200 pixels and 120Hz. This is combined with a Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 chip, memory up to 16GB RAM and 512GB storage. The battery is 5000mAh which supports 100W charging. This is also followed by a 50MP Sony IMX906 DSLR + 12MP ultra-wide main camera and a 50MP selfie camera.
Both devices are marketed as smartphones with the photographic capabilities of an SLR camera. Despite being launched in November, the MagicOS 7.2 operating system based on Android 13 is still in use.
It's strange because their competitors iQOO and Xiaomi already offer devices with Android 14. There is also a dedicated Honor C1 chip to ensure the communication system runs smoothly. Lastly, the Honor 100 and Honor 100 Pro do not have any waterproof capabilities.
