Instagram Tests Feature To Disable "Read Receipt"

 Mark Zuckerberg announced today that Instagram is testing a new feature that many users on the platform have been waiting for, which is the ability to turn off "Read Receipt". With this step, the other party will not be notified if someone has read the message sent or vice versa.

Today, when you send a DM to someone, Instagram will display a notification whether the message has been read or not. With the introduction of this feature, the matter can be turned off, and the user will not know whether the message has been read or not.

If you take the implementation method in WhatsApp, then users who turn off this feature, cannot see whether others have read their messages or vice versa.

For now, this feature is still in the testing stage, and it is not yet known when it will be introduced to everyone.
