Lenovo has now announced that they have filed a lawsuit against ASUS in the United States, on November 15, 2023, due to the infringement of Lenovo's copyright by a number of Asus products. Lenovo said the filing of the suit was their response to Asus's filing over cellular technology - where Lenovo offered a solution with a co-licensing measure.
Lenovo is seen touching around four of their patents under this lawsuit against Asus. This patent includes a hinge design for a device that can change from laptop to tablet mode, as well as energy management technology when the device is activated, or called "Wireless Wake-On-LAN Power Management".
The filing of this lawsuit is seen as the last step after failing to reach an agreement with Asus before.
