Consumers in Malaysia today received two new wearable device offerings from Garmin through the MARQ Athlete (Gen 2) Carbon Edition priced at RM15,399. Meanwhile, the MARQ Golfer (Gen 2) Carbon Edition is offered at RM16,180 per piece. For those interested, both will be available for purchase in mid-December through authorized Garmin distributors throughout Malaysia.
Both are the latest additions to the second generation MARQ series which are necessarily different in terms of construction materials. As the name suggests, this model features a combination of carbon fiber for a lighter and stronger design. The available size is 46mm, which uses 130 layers of fused carbon fiber. Then it is combined with a premium watch strap with a choice of materials such as leather, nylon or silicone.
With the MARQ Athlete, users can utilize it for a variety of sports including daily activity tracking, hiking, swimming, rowing and more. Also included are training features like PacePro and Garmin Coach which are useful for real-time stamina monitoring.
Meanwhile MARQ Golfer is suitable for golf with the ability to download more than 43,000 courses from all over the world. Another feature of the Virtual Caddy is that it allows users to monitor the height and swing force, and then suggest the appropriate dependent options.
Other features include multi-band GPS navigation with SatlQ technology, built-in maps, UltraTrack mode and standard health and fitness monitoring. The included battery can last up to 16 days of full use.
