MediaTek's mid-range chip Dimensity 8300 has been officially launched today with it being a competitor to the Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 launched last week. Dimensity 8300 is a continuation of Dimensity 8200 and uses 4nm technology to produce.

It still comes with eight CPU cores with a 1+3+4 configuration which is 1x CPU Cortex-A715 3.35GHz, 3x CPU Cortex-A715 3GHz and 4x CPU Cortex-A510 2.2GHz. According to MediaTek this provides a 20% increase in CPU performance and 30% power savings compared to the Dimensity 8200.

This flagship mid-range CPU is matched with a Mali-G615 MC6 GPU that promises a performance increase of up to 60% and power savings of up to 55% compared to the previous generation.
