Meituan Reportedly Considering Taking Over FoodPanda Operations In Southeast Asia

 

Meituan is now reportedly looking for any potential and possible takeover of FoodPanda's business in Southeast Asia. It is said that Meituan has held a meeting with Delivery Hero for the possibility of taking over the operation of FoodPanda.

For those who are not familiar with Meituan, it is the largest food delivery company in China. By taking over FoodPanda, it will simultaneously provide quick access for Meituan in expanding its business in the Southeast Asian region.

For now, it is not known who will take over FoodPanda's operations in Southeast Asia. Previously, Delivery Hero has stated that they want to sell part of their business in Southeast Asia - especially in Singapore, Malaysia, the Philippines, Thailand, Cambodia, Myanmar and even Laos.

If it is true that Meituan takes over FoodPanda, it will give competition to Grab in the arena. With this new development, let's all look forward to who will take over FoodPanda's operations.
