Nio, one of the electric vehicle manufacturers based in China, has now shared that they will start using robots and artificial intelligence to reduce the workforce by 2027. Nio aims to reduce one third of the workforce through the use of robots and artificial intelligence.
This step is also in an effort to reduce operating costs, as well as increase the efficiency of the company.
At the same time, Nio also aims to eliminate 50% of management positions and use artificial intelligence technology for it, by 2025. This will also show that around 80% of decisions in production are made by artificial intelligence.
In addition to Nio, various other companies are also looking at ways to reduce operating costs – and want to use artificial intelligence and robots to replace human labor.
