We reported a few weeks ago that Microsoft plans to provide the artificial intelligence (AI) feature of CoPilot on the Windows 10 operating system. Today they announced that CoPilot can be tested by Windows 10 Release Preview users. CoPilot is currently targeted at computers with Windows 10 Home and Windows 10 Pro only.
As in Windows 11, CoPilot in Windows 10 is a chatbot that can help users perform various tasks such as performing information searches, recipe recommendations, and generating images using user-entered prompts.
Although Windows 10 will receive CoPilot, Microsoft still maintains support for the operating system will be discontinued on October 14, 2025. Currently there are 400 million Windows 11 computers compared to more than 1 billion Windows 10 computers.
