Qi2-Supporting Wireless Chargers Will Go On Sale Before 2023 Ends

The Qi V2.0 wireless charging format has already announced its standard before. Qi BV2.0 is interesting because it was developed by the Wireless Power Consortium (WPC) together with Apple to create a new standard of 15W wireless charging with a MagSafe-compatible magnetic system.

WPC announced that Qi V2.0 has already passed various tests with the first charging products supporting it to enter the market before the end of 2023. The iPhone 15 series is the first device to support Qi V2.0. Only wireless chargers that support charging up to 15W and have magnets can use the "Qi2" logo on the sales package.

Chargers that simply charge at 15W power without magnetic support will remain using only the "Qi" logo at times. Through this charging format, WPC wants to introduce a standard that can be supported by all manufacturers while not confusing consumers who may not know which charger is compatible with their device.
