The RedMagic 9 Pro and 9 Pro+ were officially launched in China today as new flagship devices. It looks attractive with a completely flat body both in the front and back.
Next makes absolutely no thick or large camera hump visible. On the other hand, the device's camera system is protected by a special glass layer that is said to prevent light from entering the sensor.
Both come with a 6.8-inch BOE AMOLED screen with a resolution of 2480 X 1116 pixels and a 120Hz refresh rate. This is matched with a Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chip, 24GB LPDDR5X RAM memory and 1TB storage (UFS 4.0) for the mainstay.
In addition to the brand new ICE 13.0 multi-dimensional cooling system with an area of 0,182mm² and a built-in fan that can rotate up to 22,000RPM. The device also packs a dedicated Red Core R2 Pro chip designed specifically for a better gaming experience.
The camera system consists of 50 MP (Samsung GN5) OIS with OIS, 50 MP wide (Samsung JN1) and 2 MP macro. Then followed by a 16MP selfie camera built into the screen to complete the device.
Battery capacity is what sets this device apart with 6,500mAh and 80W charging included on the RedMagic 9 Pro. Meanwhile, the Pro+ version uses a 5,500mAh battery that can be recharged with 165W fast charging.
Other specifications include Magic Sound stereo speakers, 3 built-in microphones, NFC, 3.5mm audio jack and Wi-Fi 7 connectivity. Selling price starts at RMB4,399 (~RM2,876) (8/256GB), RMB4,799 ( ~RM3,138) (12/256GB) and RMB5,199 (~RM3,400) (12/512GB) for RedMagic 9 Pro. Then it starts at RMB4,999 (~RM3,269) (12/256GB) and RMB5,399 (~RM3,530) (12/512GB) for the translucent version.
Meanwhile, RedMagic 9 Pro+ starts at RMB5,499 (~RM3,596) (16/256GB), RMB5,799 (~RM3,792) (16/512GB) and RMB6,999 (~RM4,577) (24/1TB ). Next, the translucent version starts at RMB5,699 (~RM3,727) (16/256GB) and RMB5,999 (~RM3,923) (16/512GB).
