Just a few days ago the One UI 6.0 update based on Android 14 was distributed to Samsung Galaxy S23, S23+ and S23 Ultra users in Germany. Today Samsung has also released a list of devices that will receive this update. Immediately after that, devices under the S23 series in Malaysia started receiving the same update.
One UI 6.0 is seen focusing on interface design and customization. First up is the new notification tray arrangement and quick shortcut tray with a special island. In addition to now having the use of new widgets, an AI-powered camera, a smart airplane mode where it won't turn off Bluetooth or WiFi and more.
Samsung is getting faster at offering their operating system updates lately. In previous years, the latest operating system was only received in December. The Galaxy S, Galaxy Z and Galaxy A series began receiving support for four Android versions and five years of security patches last year. The S23 series is also the first device in Malaysia to receive the Android 14 stable update compared to other competitors.
