Essential Ph(1) is the first smartphone with a titanium frame. It is not very popular because it is sold in limited quantity and market. The use of titanium as a phone frame was popularized again by Apple through the iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max this year. The next device that will use this exotic logo frame is the Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra.
This is according to a report by The Elec which says Samsung is in the final stages of sourcing titanium for their next device. With the Galaxy S24 set to launch next January, predictions say the Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra will come with a titanium frame that is more durable but also lighter than aluminum.
Before the S24 series and the Galaxy Z Fold used the Armor Aluminum frame to provide resistance from shocks. With the Ultra series being Samsung's flagship candybar type device, the now-viral use of metal is seen to appeal to customers.
