Selangor Allots RM10 Million For Smart Agriculture Development

 


The Selangor government announced an allocation of RM10 million to develop the smart agriculture sector. This was announced by Menteri Besar Dato' Seri Amirudin Shari during the presentation of the state budget today. Through this fund, hydroponic, aquaponic, and vertical cultivation technologies using artificial intelligence (AI) will be used.



Prior to this, efforts to drive the state's food supply had been implemented through the development of the Crop and Downstream Product Clustering project in each district of Selangor. Where it acts to further diversify the state's food stocks such as coconuts, rice, bananas, vegetables to reduce dependence on the flow of imported food. This is also hoped to make Selangor a state that leads the use of the latest smart technology in the field of agriculture.
