At the presentation of the 2024 Budget for the state of Selangor that took place today, it was also shared that Selangor will establish the Selangor Jobs & Skills Council to continue identifying job opportunities and increase worker productivity in Selangor.
In parallel, among the programs that have been implemented is the Selangor Technical Skills Development Centre, which offers high-value TVET programs to the public. A number of models have been developed in collaboration with high-tech companies for this purpose, including with Apple, Festo, Siemens and Dassault Systems.
Also shared is that Selangor is the only state in Southeast Asia that is recognized as certified by Apple for Swift programming module training for the iOS platform.
For information, Swift is a programming language developed by Apple to make it easier for developers to develop applications for iOS, Mac, Apple Watch and even Apple TV. This implementation also leads to the production of local talents in Selangor who can work in the field of application development that has high market opportunities not only in the country, but also abroad.
