Valve is ready to offer their own mobile console previously called Steam Deck. Aside from that, today Valve also introduced a small update to their offering, and now also offers a Steam Deck option that comes with an OLED panel.
This updated version of the Steam Deck includes a 7.4-inch OLED panel – slightly larger than the original version's LCD-based 7-inch panel. However, the overall size of the Steam Deck is the same, making the frame design that covers the screen a little thinner.
In addition to offering a better screen, it also provides larger storage options and is also said to offer better battery life. The new battery comes with a capacity of 50Whr, which offers longer battery life than the previous model.
Other offerings in terms of processing power and graphics are more or less the same for both Steam Deck models.
This OLED version of the Steam Deck also comes with a storage option of up to 1TB. Valve will start selling this new model starting November 16, 2023, in addition to updating the selling price of the existing model at a price starting at $399 for the 256GB LCD version.
