Tesla today announced the official opening of a fast charging station, the first Tesla Supercharger in Melaka, at the Freeport A'Famosa Outlet. Through this new charging station, Tesla provides 4 Supercharger chargers, and one Destination Charger charger.
This is the 4th fast charging station opened by Tesla in Malaysia, after in the Klang Valley (Pavilion KL and Cyberjaya) and also in Johor before. The payment charge is as usual, which is RM1.25 for each kWh. Users will also be charged RM4 per minute when the car is fully charged and not removed from the charging station.
As many are aware, through the Tesla V3 Supercharging station, it is able to charge a Tesla Model 3 for 15 minutes for a travel distance of 282km. When announcing the opening of the charging station as well, Tesla stated that they will offer Wall Connectors for the Malaysian market soon.
In addition, Tesla also shared that they will start shipping orders for the Tesla Model 3 starting at the end of 2023, while the Model Y will start at the beginning of 2024.
