TikTok Deletes Video Discussing Osama bin Laden's Letter Topic

Yesterday went viral on TikTok and social media about the letter "Letter to America" written by Osama bin Laden explaining why the 9/11 attacks were carried out. Although this letter was published in 2002, it has become a topic of conversation again because it is closely related to the ongoing humanitarian conflict in Gaza.

As this letter went viral again, The Guardian newspaper suddenly deleted it from the website yesterday. In the United States the discussion about "Letter to America" became a very controversial topic because many TikTok users said they agreed with what Bin Laden did. There is talk of banning TikTok among American politicians because the platform allows videos that support the 9/11 attacks as well as elements of terrorism.

Because of this, TikTok has deleted all videos discussing the Bin Laden document and prevented them from being uploaded in the future. According to TikTok again this is content labeled as pro-terrorist activities is a violation of the terms and conditions of the platform. At the same time TikTok denied that videos on this topic went viral on their platform and only involved a small portion of users.

In Malaysia TikTok was also accused of deleting pro-Palestinian content but they said that only videos that touched on the topic of Hamas, which is labeled as a terrorist organization, were deleted.
