UL Introduces Steel Nomad Benchmark – Time Spy Replacement For Multiple Platforms

UL, the software development company behind benchmark software PCMark, 3DMark and so on has today announced that they will update the 3DMark software by replacing the Time Spy benchmark test with a new benchmark.

Time Spy is typically used to test a computer's overall ability to handle game graphics at high settings, but after seven years of serving and demonstrating graphics processing capabilities, UL Software has introduced a new benchmark software to replace it.

Named Steel Nomad, the benchmark software will reportedly support multiple device platforms and graphics APIs, including DirectX12 for Windows operating systems, Metal for MacOS, and Vulkan for Android and Linux platforms.

Details about this software, such as the type of test, what is tested and even the release date of this software have not been announced, but they have also shown some screenshots that show what this benchmark test looks like. Unfortunately, just like Time Spy, Steel Nomad doesn't either

It is expected that this software will be introduced soon, and will replace Time Spy when it arrives.
