The use of generative AI allows anyone to produce realistic images based on written proms. Midjourney's current AI capabilities are amazing enough that it's difficult to distinguish real images from those generated by it. For this reason YouTube updated its community guidelines with videos produced or containing AI generated elements needing to be labeled by the channel owner.
Content like this needs to be labeled with channels that frequently fail to do so may be suspended from the YouTube Partner Program and the video will be deleted. Other penalties may also be imposed if the guidelines continue to be violated.
Viewers will be able to see the "Altered of synthetic context" label on the content they are watching if it is generated by AI. On content that is felt to be more sensitive. Labels will be displayed more clearly.
