WhatsApp is reported to appear with a verification function using email through a future update. Through it there will be a new option called Email Address that allows users to link their WhatsApp account to an email for added security. It can be activated through the settings area, which at the same time the verification function using SMS is still available as usual.
However, it should be emphasized that the introduction is only an additional security feature, which should be activated if the user wants to log in to an existing WhatsApp account using email. Meanwhile it is also not available for the account registration process for the first time, where the verification function using a phone number is still required.
For now this feature is still in the testing phase that can be tried among selected Android beta users. It will definitely receive some improvements before being introduced in the full version.
