X Support On PlayStation 5 And PlayStation 4 Stopped Starting November 13th

Say goodbye to X (formerly Twitter) on Sony PlayStation 5 and Sony PlayStation 4 consoles starting November 13. On that date console owners will no longer be able to send content to X or read X content on their console. Support for sharing screenshots, trophies and gameplay videos through the console to social media platforms is a feature that has been around since the PlayStation 3 era.

Sony didn't give a reason why support for X was discontinued but it must be closely related to X no longer offering free API support for social media. To PlayStation 5 and PlaytStation 4 owners, the only way to share clips or screenshots after this is to download using the PS App on a smartphone before sharing using the X app. Two extra steps that shouldn't happen.

The fact is that since being taken over by Elon Musk, various measures to reduce costs have been taken but all have failed because the company still fails to generate income as expected.
