According to a Forbes report, X is developing a trading space for accounts that are no longer active after being registered. Emails have already begun to be sent to parties who may be interested in the $50,000 fee charged to purchase certain accounts.
Previously, Elon Musk was quoted as saying that he would delete 1.5 billion accounts that are no longer active. According to him this is to combat spam accounts and bots. Inactive by X is an account that has not been logged in for more than 30 days. If you have an X account that has not been logged in for a long time please do so now so that it is not sold by X suddenly.
This is seen as another way for X to have declining earnings after a year of being taken over by Musk. Just two weeks ago they introduced two new plans for X Premium and previously charged $1 for new accounts in New Zealand and the Philippines.
