Apple has come up with the Continuity Camera feature that can turn the iPhone into a webcam for Mac computers. Android devices for now still do not support it with the expectation that the Android 14 update will activate this feature.
The latest Android Authority reports, the code of the Microsoft Phone Link application gives hints that Android devices will be able to be used as webcams on Windows computers. Interestingly, features such as auto-framing and filters will also be offered.
Phone Link will also have a feature to turn off the Android device's web camera if it detects that the device's temperature is rising. The Phone Link feature for those who don't know, allows notifications to be displayed on Windows computers with the ability to reply, answer phone calls or run Android applications.
Microsoft Phone Link has also recently been updated to be used with the Honor Magic4 Pro series, all OnePlus models, all Oppo Find series, all Oppo Reno series and all Realme models.
