The user profile feature is now finally activated on the Disney+ Hotstar app after a long wait. Through this profile feature, up to five more profiles can be used through one account. Each account can also have content set whether it is for children under 12 or adults allowing 18+ content to be streamed.
To access different profiles, a four-digit pin can be set by the user. With the presence of different profiles, there is no longer the issue of the content of various users being mixed up, causing the recommendation algorithm to become confusing. This is a feature that Disney+ Hotstar customers have been asking for since it was first offered in Malaysia.
For parents and guardians, the feature of controlling content from being watched by kids is also now better as it can be changed using the given settings. To turn off content blocking, an SMS will be sent to the account owner making it difficult to intercept without their knowledge. To use this feature please update the Disney+ Hotstar app to the latest version.
