Microsoft has now updated the list of features that will end in Windows, and now also lists Windows Mixed Reality as ending its support.
Windows Mixed Reality is Microsoft's answer to the augmented reality feature, which was introduced with Windows 10 around 2015. It helps in popularizing the augmented-reality feature as well as development for it. Several headsets with support for it have been introduced by various manufacturers, including Microsoft which comes with HoloLens that supports it.
With this listing, Windows Mixed Reality will no longer be included on the Windows operating system, and will be removed through future updates. Along with it, Microsoft will also end the Mixed Reality Portal application and also Windows Mixed Reality for Steam VR.
